Americans without medical insurance and rising
costs, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care
Act (
ACA
) was passed to encourage the expan-
sion of coverage to poor and other uninsured po-
pulations, including second- and third-generation
Hispanic immigrants without access to insurance
through their parents. This law has extended new
