Posiblemente, el crecimiento esté asociado al aumento en el volumen de migrantes que ha

tienen comoprincipal objetivomantener a su familiaunida.

ladificultadpara acceder a los servicios públicos; lamayoríade las veces asociada a la faltade
documentosde identificación.

3.3% in Guatemala, 2.1% in Spain and the remaining 18.1% born in other countries. Of the
740,000U.S. immigrants,more than500,000 identify themselvesashavingoneparent, either
father or mother, of Mexican origin. This group was growing fast in 2010 andmost of them
wereunder 18yearsold.
Growth may possibly be associated with the increase in the volume of migrants who have
returned to their native land, whether voluntarily or forced, in recent years. Some of the

order tokeep the family together.
