Mexicanosde tercerageneración
Población residente y nacida en EstadosUnidos que se declara de
origen mexicano aunque sus padres no hayan nacido en México

Migración
Movimiento de personas desde un origen (país, estado o límite
político administrativo menor), hacia un destino (país, estado o
límite político administrativo menor), en un tiempo determinado
que implicaun cambiode residenciahabitual; incluyepersonas re-

Migracióncircular
Movimiento de personas que emigraron a otro país y regresa-
ron a su lugar de origen dentro de unmismo período de tiempo.

Migraciónde tránsito
Movimiento de personas que corresponde a una etapamigratoria
entre la emigración y el cambio de residencia, con una base tem-
poral variable, dondeocurreunviajeentredosomáspaíses conel
objetivo de establecerse en un tercero. La migración en tránsito
puede ser regular (se lleva a través de los canales legales recono-
cidos) e irregular (se llevaa cabo sin ladocumentaciónnecesaria).

tienen residencia habitual, para establecerse temporal o perma-
nentemente en otro país distinto al suyo, para ello cruzan una
