En 2013, 54.4% de las personas encontraron refugio
en el continente asiático; paradójicamente, éste es
el principal continente de origen de refugiados, con
61.6%del total mundial. Entretanto, 34.3%de las per-
sonas que buscaron refugio eran originarios de África,
y 30.1% de los migrantes refugiados en el mundo en-
contraron protección en este continente.
